Indications
  • Prevention and immunization against foot-and-mouth disease caused by FMD virus types A, O, and Asia-1

Description
An inactivated emulsified vaccine formulated from production strains of foot-and-mouth disease virus types A, O, and Asia-1.
The virus is cultured in BHK-21 (Baby Hamster Kidney) cell lines and inactivated with aziridine derivatives.
The vaccine is emulsified with an oil-based adjuvant and is intended for both preventive and emergency use in FMD-endemic and high-risk areas.

Immunity and Dosage
Method of use: injections.
Immunity develops 21 days after vaccination and lasts for 6 months.
Vaccination is recommended from 1 month of age, or from 4 months in calves born to vaccinated dams.
  • Cattle, buffaloes, camels: 2.0–3.0 ml, subcutaneously.
  • Sheep, goats: 1.0–1.5 ml, subcutaneously.
  • Pigs: 2.0–3.0 ml, intramuscularly.
Revaccination: every 6 months.
